Elgin Podiatry was founded by Kenneth and Deirdre McIntyre offering specialist private podiatry care with short waiting times for people with leg and foot problems. The husband and wife team both hold B.Sc. Degrees in Podiatric Medicine and are both registered with the Health and Care Professions Council. They have over 50 years of combined clinical experience treating complex foot and leg conditions.

Elgin Podiatry offers a wide range of treatment therapies from simple nail care for those who experience difficulty attending to their feet, to treatment of complex lower limb, foot and ankle pain. They are also fully qualified in the administration of Local Anaesthesia for the permanent removal of ingrowing or thickened toenails.

Kenneth is a Musculoskeletal Specialist podiatrist experienced in the assessment and prescription of Orthotic devices (insoles) for adults and children. These Orthoses help control the position of the foot and leg and are effective in reducing painful symptoms present in many types of foot and leg conditions or injuries acquired through sporting activities, growing children or maybe just getting a little bit older!

He is also a qualified practitioner in Podiatric Acupuncture which can be used solely on its' own or in combination with Orthotic therapy or Joint Mobilisation

Deirdre holds a Post.Grad. qualification in the assessment and treatment of The Diabetic Foot.

As registrants of the Health and Care Professions Council they both undertake regular update training in all aspects of their Podiatry practise.
